Pets help us to be more social. They get you outside and moving as you walk them, we take them to the park where we meet other people and they meet other dogs, and they attract conversation from passers-by. Pets are, for the most part, social beings, and they love showcasing their love for you and for humanity by meeting new faces.
The friendly and outgoing disposition of many pets is what makes pet events so popular and so much fun. The Atlanta area and the cities around it are all pet friendly, with plenty to do and many options on events, parks, stores, and more for people and for their pets. Be sure to add the following events to your calendar, as you can enjoy them with your pets, and with members of the Deceased Pet Care Team:
If you enjoy baseball, you'll love it even more when you bring your pooch with you to the game! Bring your dog to an actual Braves Game at Turner Field on Sunday April 27, 2014. Ticket prices are $30 for a human and canine combination ticket and each canine ticket includes a Braves dog leash! Purchase your ticket now and pick it up Sunday before the game at 11:30 at the special 'Bark in the Park' will-call table! Don't worry about your dog getting overheated either as there are kiddie pools for splashing and ice-cream available!
Come out and experience one of the biggest and most talked about events of the year, Woofstock! Hosted by Star 94, enjoy free entertainment, pet contests, vendors, and more at Suwanee Town Center Park from 12:00pm to 7:00pm on May 3, 2014. This is one of my favorite events, and even though it rained last year, everyone still had a great time! More information will be released but to stay updated, join the event page on Facebook.
If you liked Woofstock, then you'll have a great time at Pawfest! Hosted by the Gwinnett Humane Society, Pawfest is an event that strives to educate the public on pet-related issues while celebrating the human-pet bond. Happening on May 10, 2014 at Lilburn City Park from 10:00am to 4:00pm, lots of events are planned including canine demonstrations, raffles, contests, vendors, and more! To check out more info, go to Pawfest's website.
